Business and Computing offers students both vocational and academic pathways. It is an area of the school where students can develop skills using the latest technology in modern computing labs. Our Business and Computing teaching staff have broad experience in both industry and education having worked in the public and private sectors.
Students enter the workforce in a world where a high level of computing skills is expected and essential for success. These skills don’t just develop as part of a teenager’s constant interaction with technology; rather they need to be explored and developed in a planned manner led by experienced teachers who can fine tune the skills needed for future education and employment.
The Business and Computing Learning Area at Geraldton Senior High School offers a range of courses including the opportunity to study computing and business courses at general and university entry levels. Courses include:
- Applied Information Technology (ATAR and General)
- Business Management and Enterprise (General)
- Year 10 Computing
- Certificate II in Business
- Certificate II in Information, Digital Media and Technology
These courses position students for employment or further training in the computing and business industries.
