Home Economics offers ‘hands-on’ courses for students passionate to develop skills and practices related to independent living.  We provide practical learning experiences for the production of nutritious foods, the construction of garments and accessories and the knowledge and skills required for working safely with children. Students develop the key skills of independence, responsibility, cooperation and understanding within all of our courses.

We offer lower school courses in Food and Nutrition, Fashion and Textiles and Child Care.  We offer upper school courses in Food Science and Technology and Children Family and Community.  Our students learn the value of teamwork while developing their skills in self-management.  These skills are sought after by employers in Hospitality and Childcare and the workplace in general.
